It's complicated...

Our emotions tint the way we see the world. Our perceptions are marred by their inevitable presence. From a bolt out of the blue to the green eyed monster, rose tinted glasses to seeing red; these tints have different hues.

Some feelings are spikey & raw, stabbing & immediate. Others have a slow, gradual fade, barely detectable until their absence is felt.

Surprise, shock; immediately felt but short lived. Expect the unexpected. There is no malice in its intention, only change. Surprise fades rapidly into itself, leaving us back where we started. A Bolt Out of The Blue.

Jealousy. Dark & brooding, ominously domineering. A heavy feeling low in the gut, close to the floor, primal. It brings with it its own sense of shame and the bitter, bilious glow we know as The Green Eyed Monster.

Joy, excitement. The warm stomach flip of happiness. Optimistically sunny. When the sun comes out on a cold day. A dizzy blush. That's the feeling of Sunny Side Up.
